If you weren't aware, starting on June 12th 2009 all TV stations will stop broadcasting analog signals.

What does this mean for me?

If you have a TV with a built in digital tuner (any TV purchased in the last several years) you are all set and don't need to concern yourself with the changeover.

If you have digital cable or satellite TV service you are also all set, even if you have an older TV.

If you still use a rabbit ears antenna or the building antenna to get your TV signal you will need to get a digital converter box to continue receiving TV service after the changeover.

How do I get a converter box?

Converter boxes are available at major electronics retailers like Best Buy and at stores like Target and Wal-Mart.

The government is providing two $40 coupons per household to help with the cost of the boxes.

Go to: www.DTV2009.gov

or call: 1-888-388-2009

You can also write to: TV Converter Box Coupon Program

PO Box 2000,

Portland, OR 97208 for information about this program or to get yours.
