Residents Council Meeting Minutes

Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 6:40. The Pledge of Allegiance was said. Secretary's Report The minutes from the January meeting were read. There were no changes or additions. Treasurer's Report Melissa gave the financial report. It will be filed for annual review. Total of all funds is: $2424.14
Presidents Council Report Presidents Council is looking for 300 recipes for their cookbook. Give recipes to board members or put under the door of the 5th floor office. There will be no white elephant sale this year. PHA Report OIR Report: There have been no problems except some minor parking issues. Charlie's card is posted on Ana's door. He does not have a set schedule here because of his work schedule. No parking by the dumpsters in back. Snowbird parking was mentioned. Ana said there isn't a need for it here as in some other buildings. Do not block the elevators or doors when the paramedics are here taking someone out. Do not let people you don't know into the building. That is a hazard and a lease violation. Do not leave shopping carts in the elevators. Dogs should be taken out by the back doors only. They need to be licensed. There is a 25 pound weight limit for dogs.
Old Business Bylaws revisions tabled until the March meeting. Changes will be posted on the bulletin board again. We need a new bird bath. Tabled for now. Diversity meeting on the 10th at 6PM. The peace pole event is on the 16th of May. Chinese New Year event on the 16th. Chicken chow mein or chicken chop suey will be served. (Your choice.) There is a $2.00 suggested doantion for this. Valentines cake and coffee on the 14th.
New Business Would we like a speaker from the Minnesota Judicial Center or Metro Mobility? There are various speakers available. RAB was discussed. Donating to Haitian relief efforts was discussed. Pat Kramer made a motion for the council to donate 25 dollars. Bonnie seconded. A donation box will be put in the community room as well. Pat also made a motion that we donate to Doctors without borders. Bonnie seconded. Both motions carried. Moving meetings to Wednesdays was brought up. Lauree made a motion to move board and council meetings to Wednesdays. Melissa seconded. Motion carried.
Lauree won dime-a-time. Peggy won the door prize. Hui-Fen won the Xbox game. Meeting adjourned
